As a nonprofit organization, the YMCA of the East Valley is guided by a mission to strengthen the community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Every membership directly supports programs that help neighbors thrive—regardless of income or background. 

Year-Round Support for Families and Individuals 

At the heart of the YMCA’s work is a commitment to accessibility and inclusion. Its year-round programs offer something for every stage of life: 

● Child Care & Afterschool Programs – Safe, nurturing environments where children can learn, play, and grow. Homework help, enrichment activities, and healthy snacks are part of the afterschool experience across multiple school sites. 

● Health & Wellness – State-of-the-art fitness centers, group classes, personal training, and chronic disease prevention programs for all ages and ability levels. 

● Senior Engagement – Specialized wellness classes, community meals, and social activities that keep older adults active and connected. 

● Youth Development – Leadership programs, youth sports, and swim lessons to help young people build confidence and lifelong skills. 

Seasonal Highlights That Bring the Community Together

Beyond its everyday programs, the YMCA also hosts a variety of seasonal events that have become local traditions:

• The Great Y Circus® – Redlands’ very own youth circus, held each May, brings together more than 300 local performers—some as young as 3 years old—for a dazzling display of acrobatics, teamwork, and imagination. Each year’s theme brings new energy to this beloved community tradition that combines athleticism with the art of performance.
• Day Camps – Designed especially for working parents, YMCA Day Camps provide a safe and enriching place for children ages 5–14 when school is out. Whether it’s during winter break, spring break, in-service days, or summer vacation, day camps give kids the opportunity to make friends, explore new interests, and experience hands-on learning in a supportive environment.
• Camp Edwards – Located in the San Bernardino Mountains, Camp Edwards offers overnight summer camps and seasonal family camps, providing immersive outdoor experiences and lifelong memories. Campers enjoy everything from hiking and archery to campfire stories and leadership development.
• Holiday Home Tour & Boutique – A cherished seasonal tradition, the YMCA Holiday Home Tour & Boutique features beautifully decorated homes and a festive shopping experience with more than 70 vendors offering uniquely handcrafted gifts. Proceeds from the event support the YMCA’s legal aid program and provide financial assistance that helps ensure community members can access vital programs and services.
