Prospective students have a new way of learning more about a college or university they are interested in called College Tour, which is produced by Amazon.
The University of Redlands was contacted in September 2023 and selected for a half-hour episode in November 2023, which was filmed at the university this past summer.
“The university saw this episode as a unique opportunity to showcase the
transformative experiences our students have both academically and personally,” said Kevin Dyerly, vice president of enrollment.
Dyerly said that the show features the university on a national platform, highlighting the vibrant campus life, innovative programming and hands-on learning.
Filming took place over five days, almost 12 hour days. Students were chosen through a casting call. They submitted a one-minute video audition, sharing details about themselves and why they would be a good fit for the show. More than 30 students auditioned and 10 were chosen.
