REDLANDS, Calif. – Redlands residents may soon be paying more for their trash and recycling pick up.
The city is proposing a 9% annual increase in solid waste utility rates for the next three years, followed by a 4% hike by 2028. The fee increase would cover rising operational costs and fund infrastructure improvements, according to city officials.
The Redlands City Council voted unanimously to initiate the process of raising solid waste rates at its meeting on July 2, 2024. The public hearing is set for Sept. 3.
