RUSD seeks community input on student success
District "Thoughtexchange" is available through Thursday, Jan. 23 to help develop goals and share ideas for the District's Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) for 2025-26 school year
REDLANDS, Calif. — The Redlands Unified School District (RUSD) is inviting community members to share their insights on the district's Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) for the 2025-26 academic year.
Stakeholders can participate in an online Thoughtexchange by visiting https://bit.ly/LCAP25-26 before the survey closes at 5 p.m. on Jan. 23, 2025.
The LCAP is a critical framework guiding district priorities, programs, and funding decisions.
This year’s survey focuses on identifying the programs, services, or support systems that have the greatest impact on student success and well-being in RUSD.
Participants are encouraged to share their thoughts on areas including academic support, social-emotional learning, family engagement, school climate, and equity, as well as ideas for enhancing or expanding these initiatives.
“Your input is a vital component of our LCAP,” district officials said in their announcement, noting the community's prior emphasis on the importance of teachers, staff, and leadership.
The interactive platform allows participants to not only share their views but also rate others’ contributions, fostering a collaborative discussion. Highly rated ideas will rise to the top, providing the district with clear feedback on community priorities.
Community members are encouraged to forward the survey link to others who may wish to contribute.
For technical assistance, participants can call Thoughtexchange at 1-800-361-9027 ext. 4 or email feedback@thoughtexchange.com.
This initiative is part of RUSD’s ongoing commitment to engaging families, educators, and community members in shaping educational goals and improving outcomes for students districtwide.
