Longest running cycling race greenlit for its 40th year
Redlands City Council approves more than $127,000 in in-kind support for the annual event.

REDLANDS, Calif. – The city of Redlands is accepting applications from residents in City Council Districts 1, 2 and 4 to serve on the Measure T Oversight Committee. The deadline to apply is March 26.
The committee, an independent advisory body, reviews how the city spends revenue from the 1% transactions and use tax approved under Measure T.
Voters approved the 1-cent sales tax by 57.35% in 2020. Measure T generates roughly $18 million to $20 million in local funding to preserve public safety, city services and local infrastructure. The campaign promised voters the money would:
Members provide recommendations to the City Council and ensure expenditures align with priorities outlined in the city’s annual budget.
The committee’s responsibilities include an annual review of tax expenditures, advising the council on Measure T funds, and presenting a written report each year. Read last year’s report from Chair Toni Momberger here.
The five-member committee consists of one representative from each council district, appointed by the respective council member and confirmed by the full City Council.
Currently, three positions are open in City Council Districts 1, 2 and 4.
