REDLANDS, Calif. — Redlands Police are investigating an attempted burglary reported Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 21, in the 1500 block of North Grove Street.
According to authorities, three men wearing gloves, ski masks, and all-black clothing attempted to break into an occupied residence by shattering the glass back door. The suspects fled the scene in a newer black Volkswagen sedan after the resident, who heard the sound of breaking glass, apparently scared them off.
After a search of the area, officers were unable to locate the suspects.
Shortly after the Redlands incident, a similar attempted burglary with matching suspect and vehicle descriptions was reported in nearby Loma Linda.
The investigation into both incidents is ongoing. Police have asked anyone with information to contact the Redlands Police Department.
