Commissioners plan to discuss potential amendments to regulations approved by City Council in 2022
REDLANDS, Calif. – The Redlands Planning Commission is expected to review the warehouse ordinance that the City Council approved in 2022. The Commission plans to discuss whether to consider potential changes to the regulations during its next meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 12.
Why it matters: This review follows significant public opposition to two recent warehouse distribution center proposals this summer. One on California Street was found to be in compliance with the ordinance and the General Plan and approved. Another development on Tennessee Street was denied by the Planning Commission and is pending appeal before the City Council.
The agenda item, requested by Commissioner Matthew Endsley, gives the Commission the opportunity to "evaluate the warehouse ordinance" and discuss whether amendments to zoning regulations should be explored, the agenda states.
