The stars will be out at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24 for the Redlands High Athletic Hall of Fame induction dinner.
Being inducted are Jacob Nottingham (class of 2013) football and baseball; Dr. Lauren Simon, Redlands High team physician since 1984; Eddie Lucas (’93) basketball; Juanita Webster-Freeman (’15) track and field; Rozanne Marie DeWeese (’92) soccer, volleyball, and softball; and Claire Crowley (’15) track and field.
The festivities are at Terrier Hall at 840 Citrus Ave.
“It will be a good dinner and should be a fun time,” said Redlands High teacher and coach April Berry, who is on the HOF committee.
Webster-Freeman and Crowley (along with Margaux Jones) led the Terriers to two consecutive section track and field titles. All three made the CIF State meet in 2015 and went onto to star in college. Webster-Freeman also participated in the 2021 Olympic trials.
(Jones, studying to become a doctor, will no doubt be inducted into the HOF in the future, said Berry who coached her in high school).
Nottingham has been a professional baseball player since 2013 with seven organizations and made the major leagues in 2018 with the Milwaukee Brewers. The former Terrier two-sport star is now a catcher in the Seattle Mariners’ organization.
The high school’s Hall of Fame has inducted nearly 100 athletes since it was established in 2002.
At 7 p.m. Thursday, the night before the induction dinner, the Redlands High boys’ basketball team hosts Citrus Valley. Fans will have the opportunity to view the new Hall of Fame room that night if they wish.
Tickets are $65 for adults, $17.85 for children ages 3 to 12 and $39.19 for ages 13 to 18. They are available at bit.ly/RHSHOF2025.
