Planning Commission Preview: March 11, 2025

A look at what’s on Tuesday’s agenda.

REDLANDS, Calif. — The Redlands Planning Commission is scheduled to meet on Tuesday, March 11 at 4 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.

Attendees can join in person at the Civic Center, located at 35 Cajon Street, Redlands, or via the Zoom link provided at the top of the meeting agenda.

Below is a brief overview of key agenda items to be discussed.

  • A public hearing will be held to review proposed revisions to the approved development plans for a 98-unit single-family residential project at East San Bernardino Avenue and Wabash Avenue. The applicant, Tri Pointe Homes, seeks approval for changes to building elevations, site layout, landscaping and wall plans, while maintaining the previously approved lot configuration and open space. Staff has reviewed the revisions and determined they remain consistent with zoning and development standards. In September 2024, the development was given a one year extension on the plans.   • The commission will hold a public hearing to consider a proposed zone change for approximately five acres along Cortez Street, from Agricultural (A-1) to Residential Estate (R-E). The rezoning aligns with the city's long-term planning goals and has the potential for future residential development. No immediate construction is planned, and any future projects would require proper permits and infrastructure improvements. Read more here.
  • The Redlands Planning Commission will consider a request from Tom Bell Chevrolet to formally incorporate an existing vehicle sales display lot into its Conditional Use Permit. Read more here.
