Monday morning quake felt from San Diego to Redlands to Los Angeles; no immediate damage reported as ShakeAlert issues early warning across Inland Empire.

Magnitude 5.2 earthquake near Julian rattles Southern California

A magnitude 5.2 earthquake struck near the mountain town of Julian, east of San Diego, on Monday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake occurred at approximately 10:08 a.m. PDT and was felt across Southern California, including in San Diego, the Inland Empire, and as far north as Los Angeles.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or significant damage, according to the San Diego Sheriff's Department the AP News report. The USGS continues to monitor the area for aftershocks.​
