Housing- enhancing community spaces, providing safe livable neighborhoods, and ensuring residents can afford to live in Redlands.
Economic Development- Creating good-paying jobs, supporting small businesses, improving public infrastructure and mobility.
Public Health and Safety- Building a second fire station in North Redlands, emergency preparedness, and drug, alcohol and mental health treatment for homeless individuals.
I am a first-generation Mexican American, the oldest daughter of three siblings, and a working mother. I was raised on simple principles: hard work, education, community and family.
I earned two bachelor’s degrees in international studies (with a concentration in culture and identity) and journalism from California State University, Long Beach (CSULB), and a master’s degree in communication management from the University of Southern California (USC).
I have an extensive background in public health care communications and strategy and previously worked as the public information officer for the San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health.
My vision for moving our community forward is focused on improving the quality of life for Redlands residents, businesses and working families. I will prioritize strategic planning to manage growth, ensuring that development meets our long-term needs while preserving Redlands’ unique character. I will break the disconnect from city hall, and promote communication and transparency to create a more informed and engaged city with more participation from the community because the only way to move the community forward will be together.
