ANCA hosts free community workshop on February 19th from 6:30PM to 8:00PM
REDLANDS, Calif. — Thinking of going electric? A free community event will explore the benefits of home electrification, including its impact on emissions reduction, health and safety, as well as available rebates and incentives.
Accelerate Neighborhood Climate Action (ANCA) will host Mark Cloud, a representative from Southern California Edison, on Wednesday, Feb. 19 at the Redlands Community Center (111 West Lugonia Avenue).
Cloud will offer insights into how residents can transition to electric appliances and energy sources to lower their carbon footprint.
The city's total annual emissions have increased by about 11% since 2015, according to a recent report on local greenhouse gas emissions in Redlands. Transportation contributed the highest amount to the rise in emissions.
The event will take place with a newly scheduled start time. Doors will open at 6 p.m., with the program beginning at 6:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early and carpool due to limited parking.
Organizers urge community members to register here in advance and invite friends, family, and neighbors.
