The Fount Cycling Guild team took the first two places in the Crafton Hills Road Race on Friday. The Crafton Hills race was Stage 3 of the Redlands Bicycle Classic.
Ellexi Snover (1:54:08) finished first and Alia Shafi (1:54:09) second for Fount Cycling Guild. Katherine Rusch (1:54:12) of CCB pb Levine Law Group placed third.
Quinn Felton (2:07:59) of CycleSport.com took first in the men’s Crafton Hills Road Race. Kieran Haug (2:07.59) of Project Echelon Racing finished second, and Ed Frayre Moctezuma (2:03:03) of Golden State Blazers placed third.
Saturday the city of Redlands is the place to be with the Stater Bros. Charities Public Races and the School Duel, as well as the Legends’ Fondo. The School Duel is for area school children and the Legends’ Fondo is for recreational riders.
The criterium for women begins at 2:20 p.m. and the men at 4 p.m.
It all wraps up Sunday with a 5k run and fun walk at 7 a.m., followed by the Sunset Road Race with the women (68.1 miles) starting at 10 a.m. and the men (91.1 miles) at 2 p.m.
The 5-stage event is expected to attract 35,000 participants and spectators.
