Public Market Opens, SCE Faces Backlash, New developments, and a Thriving Pottery Project
Applications for the Nancy Yowell Memorial Scholarship are due Feb. 28, 2025.
REDLANDS, Calif. — The American Association of University Women (AAUW) Redlands Branch is now accepting applications for its Nancy Yowell Memorial Scholarship, which supports women whose college education was interrupted and who have returned to complete their degree.
Applicants must reside within the Redlands AAUW Branch service area, which includes Banning, Beaumont, Calimesa, Cherry Valley, Grand Terrace, Highland, Loma Linda, Mentone, Redlands and Yucaipa. Eligible students must be currently enrolled in an associate’s, bachelor’s or post-graduate degree program and demonstrate clearly defined educational goals.
The scholarship offers $1,000 for students enrolled in an associate’s degree program and $2,000 for those pursuing a bachelor’s or post-graduate degree. The number of recipients will depend on the scholarship budget and the number of qualified applicants. Funds are intended to assist with tuition, registration fees and books.
Applications must be emailed or postmarked by Feb. 28, 2025.
Recipients will be selected and notified in March 2025 and are invited to attend the AAUW-Redlands branch meeting in April.
