City official to present on collaborative efforts with nonprofits, highlighting housing and outreach programs during AAUW brunch on Nov. 2
Redlands' homeless solutions coordinator, David Rabindranath, is set to speak at the local American Association of University Women (AAUW) chapter on Nov. 2. He'll be discussing the city's efforts to tackle homelessness.
The AAUW's brunch meeting will kick off at 10 a.m. in the Casa Loma room at the University of Redlands.
Rabindranath plans to give updates on "Project Home Key" and the "Street Outreach" program. His talk, "Homelessness in Redlands: Challenges & Solutions," will cover local homelessness issues and the city's support initiatives.
Project Home Key, funded by a $30 million grant from California, provides long-term supportive housing for chronically homeless individuals in Redlands.
The Street Outreach program involves partnerships with local nonprofits to engage homeless people across the city and connect them with resources.
Rabindranath will provide updates on these projects and take questions from the audience.
The event is free and open to the public. If you're interested in joining the 9 a.m. brunch before the meeting, you'll need to reserve a spot by October 28. There's a $25 meal fee, payable when you arrive.
To make a reservation, call 909-362-4955 or email AAUWrsvp@AAUWRedlands.org. Include your name, phone number and email address to receive a confirmation email.
